PostParted is a directory, not a messaging portal. We help you find postnatal-care providers near you and understand who takes your insurance — and you only ever share your details directly with a provider you choose to contact. This page explains, plainly, what we collect and how we protect it.
What we collect
- What you type into the intake (your situation, the options you tap), and the search details you give us — your city/ZIP, your baby's age range, your insurance, and how you'd like to be seen.
- Your email, only if you ask us to send your matches or notify you when a match opens up.
- If you message a provider through us, the note you write to them.
We never handle protected health insurance data
We never ask for or store insurance member IDs, and we never call member-authenticated eligibility systems. Insurance acceptance and pricing on PostParted come from what providers themselves publish — they are estimates to orient you, not a coverage determination. Always confirm with the provider and your plan.
How we protect it
- Encrypted at rest. The free text you write — your intake notes and any message to a provider — is encrypted with AES-256-GCM before it's stored.
- Auto-purged. Your raw intake free text and any message to a provider are automatically deleted after 30 days. If you gave us an email, it's removed within 180 days — or sooner if you ask; only non-sensitive derived fields, like which category you matched, are kept.
- Minimal analytics. We track only coarse, non-identifying signals — which categories and steps people use — never your email or the words you type into your search. We don't sell or rent your information to anyone.
When you contact a provider
Requests you send through a provider's profile go to our team, who pass your note along — we don't store providers' contact details on your behalf. Reaching out is always your choice, on your terms.
